Jonathan Ply, M.D.
A well-known and respected ophthalmologic consultant and surgeon, Dr. Jonathan Ply graduated magna cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He earned his Medical Degree in Bethesda, Maryland under a military scholarship program. After graduating in the top ten percent of his class, he completed 4 additional years of internship and residency training in ophthalmology at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, California. Dr. Ply was then promoted to Department Chairman of Ophthalmology at the Charleston Naval Hospital, where he served his remaining 4 years before leaving the Navy to establish his practice in Murrells Inlet. Dr. Ply holds staff privileges at MUSC, Conway Hospital, and Waccamaw Hospital. Residing on the South Strand with his wife and 4 children, he is an active member of the community.
