A well known and respected ophthalmologic consultant and surgeon, Dr.Jonathan Ply graduated magna cum laude from the University of California at Los Angeles(UCLA) He earned his Medical Degree in Bethesda, Maryland under a military scholarship program.After graduating in the top ten percent of his class he completed 4 additional years of intern-
  
ship and residency training in Ophthalmology at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, California. Dr. Ply was then promoted to Department Chairman of Ophthalmology at Charleston Naval Hospital, where he served his remaining 4 years before leaving the Navy to establish his practice in Murrells Inlet. Dr. Ply holds staff privileges at Conway Hospital, and Waccamaw Hospital. Residing on the South Strand with his wife and 4 children, he is an active member of the community. He has been voted as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists.

Ryan Ridges, M.D
 
Dr. Ridges is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist who relocated here from Virginia in 2008. He graduated with Honors from the University of Utah, and later completed medical school and ophthalmology residency training at the University of Virginia.  
Dr. Ridges is an experienced, seasoned, and personable doctor. He specializes in caring for patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, eye injuries, emergencies, glasses, contact lenses, routine eye exams and LASIK surgery.
